A pioneering development looms in Tennessee’s fastest-growing city
Nashville Business Journal
Nov. 28, 2016
Scott Graby possesses something that is in historically scarce supply for so many growing companies these days: A big chunk of new, high-end office space.
Graby's stone-and-brick office building, accented with sleek LED lights, stands amid a budding mixed-use development featuring trendy restaurants such as Burger Republic, which also is in the Gulch, as well as Tom+Chee, which has blossomed after succeeding on ABC's hit show "Shark Tank." There will be a fitness center, a bakery, a hair salon and a bike locker with a shower for tenants. The stairwell has a rock garden with a water feature. There are two putting greens and campus-wide WiFi. A plaza includes fountains, a forthcoming splash pad and green space that can host an ice rink, a concert or football games shown on a big-screen projector.
As Williamson County runs low on available office space and becomes an increasingly pricey place to live and work, Murfreesboro is jockeying to soak up that overflow growth and force its way onto the short list of companies looking to expand or relocate into the region. Murfreesboro, the fastest-growing city in the state, can tout many attributes. Read more...
